Route B: Pursuing Specific Requests for Proposal
If you're pursuing a specific Request for Proposals (RFP), we’re here to guide you through the process.
Step 1: Understand the RFP
Meet with Us: Schedule a meeting to go over the RFP requirements, clarify the internal submission process, and set up a timeline for your proposal.
Review Your Materials: Send us your application materials (like the narrative, budget, and other documents) for feedback.
- Our Response Time: We’ll provide feedback within 5 business days for simple letters of intent (LOIs) or proposals and within 14 business days for longer, more complex proposals.
Step 2: Prepare Your Submission
Get Help from Your College/School Team: As soon as you’re ready to develop your proposal package, reach out to your College/School’s grant administration team. They can help assemble:
- A final budget and budget justification
- Required personnel and sponsor documents
- Drafts of technical sections of the proposal
- For More Information: Refer to the OPAS guidelines for complete details.
Step 3: Meet Submission Deadlines
Plan Ahead: Your completed proposal must arrive at OPAS at least five full business days before the funder’s deadline. To make this happen, submit your proposal to OPAS one full business day before that five-day deadline.
Why It Matters: Meeting internal deadlines ensures that your proposal can be properly reviewed and approved before submission.
- For More Information: Check the OPAS guidelines for submission requirements.
